Flash gRPC streams decoded transactions before execution. Use it for early transaction signals while standard gRPC or RPC verifies the outcome.

Connect with TLS on port 443 and your Flash service key as x-token metadata. Use a Yellowstone-compatible client and the geyser.Geyser/Subscribe method.

First subscription

With grpcurl installed and matching geyser.proto and solana-storage.proto files in ./proto, set SHREDS_API_KEY to your Flash key. Replace ACCOUNT_OR_PROGRAM_ADDRESS with a Solana public key:

Understand the updates

Updates include a signature, slot, and transaction message. Execution metadata is absent: do not expect fees, logs, balance changes, or success status. Match signatures against executed results before treating observations as confirmed.

Flash has no replay; fromSlot is rejected. Slot filters do not emit updates on this feed. Use standard gRPC for slot tracking and check your service's limits before opening additional streams.
